In Brussels we still enjoy lovely sunny days, but it's already getting colder gradually...

In this look I'm wearing very lovely vintage bag by Jean Patou, which is not in production any more. I got this bag quite unexpectedly (gift :)) and was very astonished, because Jean Patou is a very big fashion legend! He was famous fashion designer and the story of his life is very interesting...He was born in 1887...

Jean Patou was the first to invent designer label by making kind of 'logo' from letters J and P (as you can see on the bag) and to put the monogram of his initials on his creations.

Designers who worked for the House of Patou have included Karl Lagerfeld (now creative director of the fashion house Chanel), Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix. The last fashion collection produced by the House of Patou label was in 1987 when the haute couture business closed because Lacroix left them to open his own house.

Jean Patou also was the first designer to popularize the cardigan and moved fashion towards the natural and comfortable. This designer is considered the inventor of the knitted swimwear and the tennis skirt. Jean Patou used to make not only clothing, bags and swim/sport wear, but also created several perfumes. One of them called Joy is still on the market and has very daring slogan that the designer himself created : 'The most expensive perfume in the world'.

Jean Patou also created first sun tan oil in 1928 called 'Huile de Caldee'.

Nowadays it's very rare to find pieces of clothing by this designer and this is why I was quite excited to see this bag! Jean Patou at the time of his life dominated the couture and ready-wear, he was an absolute giant of the fashion world.

My outfit of the day is chic, elegant and, yes, quite daring :$.

Those trousers at times can look like a maxi skirt and they are very comfortable. I paired this outfit with nude wedges and ready to go to cocktail with friends (I had a jacket on too:$) not to shock people around me LOL.
