Today I decided to share with you my everyday skin care routine, step by step. As a lot of you asked what I do with my skin and my regime...I thought it's a good idea to show you some of my favorite products. You will see that I don't do anything special and my skincare routine is quite basic, but of course, like everybody, I have my own tricks that are convenient for my skin.
There are also some cosmetic 'must haves' that I kind of 'can't live without', and I will show them to you too.
First of all my skin type is normal and it can be sensitive from time to time, this is why I always love to chose the most tender and gentle products.
Let's start with my evening routine, when I had make up on the whole day and I need to remove it all and make my skin clean and fresh.
Here are 3 main products that I use daily :
In the EVENING :
STEP 1:
I clean my skin with this VICHY cleanser for sensitive skin called NORMADERM. It's a gel that can profoundly purify the skin from makeup. I mix it with water and gently massage it into my skin. It's very gentle and effective, not drying and without alcohol. Then I rinse my face with water.
STEP 2 :
I use Bioderma Sensibio H20 everyday in order to remove the rest of makeup completely. I take a cotton pad and put Bioderma on, then I genly, without rubbing, remove the rest of cosmetics from the face and from eye's area, because Bioderma is gentle enough even for the tender skin under eyes. I usually use 3-4 cotton pads with Bioderma to make it all clean.
STEP 3 :
This step is quite original, and it's convenient for me. I wash my face with cold water for about a minute, it feels amazing and fresh afterwards! And also, this way, I remove all the chemical products that I used before for cleaning, so that my skin is free to breath, and I have a feeling that this step tones the skin as well.
STEP 4 :
The 4th step I put my daily moisturizer on and I use the one by Clinique, it's called dramatically different moisturizing lotion, I use the one for dry skin. So, I put it all over my face avoiding the eye area.
STEP 5 :
Under my eyes I use this Argan oil, which is a natural product and absolutely amazing one! I just put a little on my finger and press it into the area under my eyes, this is my eye cream :) (The olive oil will do about the same, I use it when I don't have Argan oil around :)
This is all. It looks like it's a lot to do, but well, the whole procedure takes about 5 minutes.
In the morning I do about the same thing, except the fact that I don't need to use 4 cotton pads of Bioderma because I have no makeup on :), so I sweep it over my face only once.
In the morning I do about the same thing, except the fact that I don't need to use 4 cotton pads of Bioderma because I have no makeup on :), so I sweep it over my face only once.
And yes, forgot to say that I stay away from the sun, I never expose my face directly to the sun, it also makes a difference (from my humble research), in order to protect your skin from spots and keep the even skin tone. But it's important to remember that we are all unique and different, and our skin types as well.
Now let me tell you about some of my cosmetic favorites, my 'must haves'.
This is the powder that I use by Clinique, it's called 'Almost powder makeup', it has SPF15 and antioxidants. I don't use foundation on my face at all, only this powder. My shade is the lightest possible - 01 fair (VF). I use Kabuki brush by mac in order to apply it.
This is my favorite blush by Givenchy called 'Le prisme', blush glow, it has a little bit of shimmer and gives a nice glow to the cheeks. This blush is a transformer one and has a great brush inside. It's also my everyday friend :).
This is the radiant touch by Yves Saint Laurent, very light, I would call it iluminator-consealer. Nice for under eyes area.
One of my favorite parfumes that smells like chewing gum - 'Hypnose' by Lancôme.
And here is the collection of my favorite eyeshadows by Chanel called 'Illusion d'ombre'. It's a very shimmery product and is extremely easy to apply, I do it with my finger usually. It will last long as well, if you don't put it on the oily surface.
This collection has 6 shadows. All of them are absolutely amazing and good for different occasions.
I hope you like my cosmetic post :) I wish you an amazing friday and will talk to you again very soon ;) xoxo
Good skin routine. Simple but obviously works.

honey please tell me: do you use that oil also in the morning? does it affect the eye make up application? my skin routine is almost identical (normaderm+bioderma) except for that oil and I would like to try it but I wonder about the make up thing.

Hello darling, thank you so much for you comment! Yes, I use Argan oil in the morning as well, but the tiny amount, with the tips of my fingers i press it only under eyes area, not on my leads, this is why it doesn't really affect my eye makeup. This oil absorbs quite quickly. Under eyes after oil, I use the YSL illuminator or other gentle concealer or just nothing...I try not to touch this gentle area much... :)
DeleteKisses and hugs xoxo
Thank you so much for your answer! I have to try it then! Hope I can get it in my local chemist. :)

Hi Linda, I too use the Bioderma cleanser. But I just use that alone to remove my makeup. Would you have by any chance try the Bioderma Sebium in green?
ReplyDeleteAnd WOW just 5mins for the routine? It would take me at least a good 15mins to do it! :(
snowyscorner.blogspot.com
Thank you so much for your comment darling. I saw Bioderma Sebium in the shop but never tried it. I also tried the Bioderma cleansing milk, and I think all of their products are quite incredible, I like. Yea, my routine is quite quick now, I just got a habit of doing it quickly, but very gently at the same time. :) Kisses

ReplyDeleteIt is great to read your post about having a good skin. You really have a beautiful skin. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThe sun can be really punishing on the skin, especially during summer. It’s good that you have an intensive skin care routine to protect yourself during the hot season. Hopefully, it’s enough to keep acne and other skin problems at bay. Aside from using these products, you can also ask your dermatologist about other ways you can protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.
